Meaningful control over what is connected, preserved and shared.

LIViQ is being designed to create useful understanding without turning a person's life into something that is constantly observed.

Information about a person can come from records, the people who know them, and the person themselves.
LIViQ is being designed so that understanding is not simply built about someone, but shaped with their participation wherever possible.
Meaningful control over what is connected, preserved and shared.
Understanding can change when it is incomplete, outdated or wrong.
Where information came from remains visible. Records, observations and lived perspective are not interchangeable.
LIViQ should preserve context, not erase it.
LIViQ is being designed with privacy, security and accountability as architectural requirements from the start.
Collect only what serves a defined purpose.
Protect sensitive information in transit and at rest.
Limit access according to responsibility and need.
Create visibility into how sensitive information is accessed and used.
Make permissions understandable and changeable.
Designed toward applicable healthcare privacy and security requirements.
Building the security program toward independent examination.
Where HIPAA applies, LIViQ is being designed to support appropriate safeguards and responsibilities. LIViQ does not currently present itself as universally HIPAA compliant.
SOC 2 readiness describes the direction of the security program. LIViQ will not claim certification or attestation before an appropriate independent examination has been completed.
That is the standard we are building toward.
